Participatory Training Approaches

The participatory approach is a key tool in LGSP’s provision of technical assistance. It applies the principles of adult education and employs contextual and accelerated learning codes through effective facilitation methodology drawn from national and international experiences and tailored to the Indonesian cultural context by LGSP staff and partners. This approach has been used successfully by the program in workshops, seminars and meetings with participating local governments, community organizations, NGOs, universities and national government agencies, and has been applied by LGSP’s partners in their own surroundings.
